Getting the hang of it

Drew and I have been complaining for months that Bobby Lashley has no business on a show like ECW. He doesn't take bumps, he doesn't blade, and he sucks on the mic. However, as soon as the WWE seems poised to take the belt away, Lashley is showing great signs of promise. Okay, so he may never be The Sandman or Tommy Dreamer and command the level of cult following they do, but that doesn't mean the man can't improve. Over the last few weeks, Lashley's been avoiding the mic (thank God!), taking huge bumps (through cage walls and all), and bleeding (finally!). Tonight on RAW, Lashley achieved the hallmark of all great superstars -- the unprotected chair shot followed by the successful blade. Considering the spot in the ring in which he was hit, its also entirely possible that he was opened up the hard way (even more impressive). The fans seem to be appreciating him more and anyone who makes McMahon's life difficult usually gets a relatively consistent pop. Huge strides for Lashley tonight.

Good to see Mick Foley back...the Backlash main event should be good, but I think they need a stipulation to make it a little more interesting than Michaels screwing over Cena and Edge screwing over Orton. I'm not excited about any match with Cade and Murdoch and I'm disappointed that the Hardys have to stoop to their level to defend their titles. Maybe a Carlito vs. Flair match? They were both upset over not being in the WrestleMania 23 main card, so WWE could be throwing them a bone by further developing their feud.
