Betting Odds For UFC 73

The following money odds are from the ONLY source I trust, Damon's Free Fight Picks. I've made hundreds following his advice -- he picked the money on Rampage against Liddell, so did I, and it paid big. Remember, for the positive numbers (underdogs), that's the payoff on a $100 bet. For the negative numbers (favorites), that's the amount you need to bet to make $100.

Anderson Silva -165 Nate Marquardt +135
I thought this line would be wider in favor of Silva, but a ton of respect is going to Marquardt. I guess the books are scared of another massive upset. This is the closest that Silva has come to being challenged for is belt, Marquardt COULD win this, but +135 isn't nearly enough for me to risk Silva's talent.
Prediction: Silva

Sean Sherk -280 Hermes Franca +210
How do you not go with Sherk here? Franca has so much heart and is on a hell of a tear but Sherk has the edge in pretty much every category. Fights between fighters that are well known to each other tend to play out a little more accurately; it's the unknown guys that make it troublesome. These guys are far from unknown, I just don't see how Franca wins. If you're a Franca fan, maybe hope for a decision, but for now I'm sticking with the favorite.

Prediction: Sherk Unanimous
Tito Ortiz -115 Rashad Evans -115
WOW! Even line. Its a pick em' here. I think Tito has a great opportunity to show what he's made of as he's against a high profile newcomer coming off a high profile knockout. If Rashad wins, it signifies the changing of the guard in the UFC; if Tito wins, he's two fights from a title shot!!!
Prediction: Pick em'...But anything above +125 on Evans is a smart bet, so watch the line, its been changing like crazy!

Antonio Minotauro Nogueira -700 Heath Herring +500
This is going to be a great fight, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole! Look at that LINE!!!
I mean, a few people made some serious money off of Matt Serra, but I know nobody who did on Cro Cop. When lines are this out of hand...your brain is with Nog, he's beat him twice before.
Prediction: Nog Unanimous although I really like Heath Herring and wouldn't mind him being around for awhile.
