A little more than a month into our existence, I issued a thanks to all of our readers. We had just slowly cruised to 1,000 visitors and for us, this was a huge accomplishment. It took us just three months after that point to rack up the next 99,000. Honestly, I never thought that the site would explode as it has and I can only thank my writers (and new friends) Masson, Doug, Jagjit, Drew, and Jordan for helping The Whip to get to this point. I founded the site because I was bored in my International Relations class, and now we're getting to attend live events and talk with great guys like Chuck, Tito, and Hendo. Here's to the next 900,000! I'll check in again at a million. Until then, keep reading, commenting on the articles, and continuing to love the sport that gives us all solace from our girlfriends.

Could you please stop spamming the Sherdog forums with your links? It's very low class, if you want advertising do it the right way. Otherwise grow your site like every other place does.
"la vengeance" bumping his own links 10 times at another place make the site look cheap and needy. Nothing against the site, I'm just telling you.
Thanks for the tips, but I do have a response. La Vengeance doesn't bump his own threads. Usually, other Sherdoggers who we don't even know put in a "ttt" for us. For those of you who don't know, that means "to the top."
The only time we post articles there are if we have interviews, which judging from the pages and pages of responses, people want to read.
We just did an interview with Dan Henderson and Andrei Arlovski, and honestly, not too many sites are getting interviews with these guys. People want to hear from them. As we see it, we're doing a service to the Sherdog community by providing them with quality interviews that they would otherwise miss out on.
We have interviews coming up with Tito Ortiz, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, and Chuck Liddell. People want to hear what they have to say and we aren't going to stop giving it to them.
We appreciate the advice, but think we're doing what is best for the MMA community.

Correct! I concur with Ben. We are merely giving to the MMA community with our interviews and articles. It's not like we're trolling the threads and posting random material just to lure people into our site.
Our articles create good discussions amongst fans and our interviews provide great news, that fans are extremely interested in, judging by the replies to to thread.
If you honestly can say you're not interested in reading what Hendo, Arlovski, or other high caliber fighters have to say, then there's a simple solution to your misery. Stop click threads made by "la vengeance." It's as simple as that.
So, stop your bickering and don't click our threads if you're truly disgusted; otherwise, just sit back like everyone else and enjoy the interviews and whatever we have to offer.

i love this site, and im looking forward to posting again soon...
mainly, i think that we should all thank ben for this. he is the creator and the true mastermind of this site.
I have only been writing on this site for a little over a month now but it has been a pleasure to watch it grow. Heres to the next 100,000!
Ben, congrats on 100,000 hits! You guys deserve every one of them! Quality interviews, articles, and Kudos on dumping the wrestling stuff.... Let me know if I have permission to beat up this "anonymous" fellow...
Thanks, Dan!
I love the hecklers, actually. It means we've hit some level of recognition where people care enough to cut you down.
They're all just jealous anyway.
Stay tuned for our many, many more interviews coming up...with some of the biggest names in MMA.
