TUF 3 winner Michael Bisping, who is now set to take on Matt Hamill at UFC 75, has routinely expressed his displeasure with this opponent, citing that he should be facing only the best in his climb to the top. The undefeated Brit had this to say on the topic: “And if he’s hoping that I’m gonna cut corners in training he’ll be very upset when he reads this – because I’m going to Big Bear to train for a month with Rampage Jackson. That’s how keen I am to put on the performance of my life and smash this arrogant egomaniac to bits. I’ve done a complete 180 – I’ve never been so excited and motivated for a fight in my career because I am fighting a guy I can’t stand personally. No way am I losing to this egomaniac – and I am really excited to go to California to train with a fighter of the level of Rampage.”
Bisping also mentioned that he considers it a step backwards since he won The Ultimate Fighter and Hamill did not. Some have called this brash, but I've got to agree...for a number of reasons. First, Bisping is essentially the only real link the UFC has to England. They poured more money into their UFC 70 event than any other in history (as far as advertising goes) in a bid to win over all of Europe. Who was their poster boy? Bisping. Who are they planning the UFC 75 pre-fight activities around? You guessed it. Using Bisping for 2 of 6 fights and then handing him Matt Hamill is plain highway robbery.
Another undefeated TUF fighter, Rashad Evans, got to fight Tito Ortiz and immediately make a name for himself. Bisping has been stuck beating up on old UFC Legends and new guys who no one knows. Had he been offered an opponent of Ortiz's caliber, and been able to pull off a win, he would without a doubt be in higher regard among UFC matchmakers and Sherdoggers alike. Even if Bisping was given his original opponent of Ken Shamrock, he would have been able to make a statement by beating one of the true Legends and start to receive some real attention.
Since none of these decisions have gone Bisping's way, it'll be up to him to prove everyone wrong and make Matt Hamill into his own personal example.

Does Bisping Deserve Better?

wtf tuf 5 winner?
haha good call. typos typos...
UFC is probably worried that if Bisping lost, his popularity among fans would die down and the UFC would lose their link to England. So they give him guys they know he can beat like Hamill.
Bisping and Hamill was the fight that everyone wanted to see on TUF. If Hamill sticks to his wrestling, he could pull out a decision.
Yeah...now that we are saying that Bisping will dominate, I won't be surprised if Hamill comes out with the win.
hamill brings some powerful wrestling...
I never understood bisping's claim that Hamill was a step down. What, like TUF is the greatest MMA show on earth? please. all things aside, I like Bisping and I like his game, but I don't think he's the second coming or anything. You think Rampage would train with him if he was worried at all about matching up in LHW with "the Count"?
Since the TUF finale win over a fubbed-out, undersized Josh Haynes, he's beaten Eric Schaefer and...Elvis Sinosic, and Elvis almost caught him. Props to Bisping on the reversal after eating that knee, but still...Elvis?
Hamill's beaten Forbes Petruzelli and Holman. Other than Bisping showing he can somewhat handle the big stage of main-eventhood, neither guy has proven a thing, as far as I'm concerned.
I do look forward to this fight tho, I think it's way overdue. The only reason I can come up with Bisping trashtalking Hamill so much is maybe he's afraid...
Hammill beat the shit out of Bisbing for 3 rounds and Bisbing has the balls to talk shit after the fight? I hope Bisbing dies in a car accident on the way home. FUcking piece of shit.
Matt Hammill is the FUCKING REAL TUF 3 winner!
Does he deserve better? Nope! He couldn't beat Hamill honestly. That was the worst decision I have ever seen and it's a sad day for the UFC. Hamill is so much better than he was and he dominated this fight for all 3 rounds. Did you notice how cocky he was before the fight? He's always cocky but that was even much for him. He knew something was up. This was just sad.
UFC wants in on Europe, that's why Bisping won. I'm wondering why Joe Rogan or anyone one of the commentators didn't say anything about this awful decision.
They had to have known too because they didn't even miss a beat. I don't know about you but I about choked on the water I was sipping from. If they weren't expecting it then they would have shown it in some way.
UFC... IT is now in the catagory of pro-wrestling. What bs.
They had a good thing and ruined it. This was clearly a decision based on marketing, I am not buying it, and I don't feel like watching it anymore. At least in boxing the fixes aren't done by the boxing commission.
i cannot believe hamill got robbed like this. bisping was talking so much crap in the weeks and months prior to this fight....he was unimpressive. matt hamill deserves a rematch.
Bisping got his ass beat for 3 rounds and everyone knows it. Hamill took him down every round and won the stand up in rd 1&2. The 3rd round was fairly even but I didn't see Bisping do anything to decisively win it either. The "winner" was even a bigger disgrace than the decision that gave it to him. What a Cocky, Arrogant, Shit talking fucking asshole!!!
Fuck you Bisping and the judges who gave you the decision, you all suck!!! I can't wait for someone to put him in his place like GSP did to that arrogant bastard Koshcheck. Maybe he ought to be the axe murderers return fight to the UFC. Wanderlei would cut him down and chop him up. Anybody want to see that??? I do...anyone else
