Two days ago, the question was posed: is Bobby Lashley the next Shane Carwin or the next Kimbo Slice. Last night, we learned the answer: something in between. Lashley wrestled and maintained control for a three round decision that was anything but exciting. It's encouraging that he's going back to American Top Team to train, but there's lots more work to be done.

I think that the most impressive, or promising things that came from Lashley's fight were his fresh understanding of and respect for the sport! He got messed up in the head by a journeyman fighter before the opening bell. He now recognizes this shortcoming in his mental preparation. Also, for him to spend 20 - 30 seconds, calmly extricating himself from a deep guillotine, is impressive. I think it's that depth of heart, plus his natural athleticism and ability that will give ATT what they need to turn him into a contender!
