The ECW title match has been set!

Yes that's right; last night saw the The Rabid Wolverine beating Elijah Burke and CM Punk beating Marcus Cor Von to set up the ECW title match this Sunday at Vengeance. And like Hunter Golden of Wrestleview says, I think I just creamed myself!

Its a dream match for a grizzly old smark like me and a breath of fresh air from angles like the Superman act on Raw and the crime of Ric Flair not having a World Title shot since his return to the WWE.

It is going to be fantastic. Punk IS the new Benoit. And man, I have been dreaming of this ever since they brought CM Punk to ECW. Although Punk is similar, he has one distinct advantage over Benoit -- mic skills. That's why Benoit was always shunted to the midcard on Smackdown, not CM Punk...he's got what it takes to be a champion in the WWE. Expect a massive feud pitting Benoit's massive talent versus Punk's youth and charisma.

It should be a show stealer folks and I predict Benoit to win, with Punk perhaps becoming a heel in the near future!
